Accident to the glider LAK-17AT registration D-KGTK

On 6 May 2017 the glider LAK-17AT registration D-KGTK after take-off from Mannheim aerodrome crashed after misjudged engine start inflight. The pilot was fatally injured. The glider destroyed.

The safety investigation is performed by the Safety Investigation Authority the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung).

The Republic of Lithuania, as a state of design and manufacture of the glider, has appointed the accredited representative and his technical adviser to this accident.
