Media representatives are invited to a Press Conference on the occasion of the High-Level Conference of the Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe “Towards Accountability for International Crimes Committed in Ukraine”
This Thursday (5 September), media representatives are invited to a Press Conference held by the Ministry of Justice on the occasion of the High-Level Conference of the Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe “Towards Accountability for International Crimes Committed in Ukraine”. It is one of the most important events of the Lithuanian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. It will focus on bringing together the Ministers of Justice of the Council of Europe to discuss further steps required for the establishment of a Special Tribunal to ensure criminal accountability for the unprovoked and unjustified russian aggression against Ukraine.
Participants of the Press Conference to answer media questions:
• Ms Marija Pejčinović Burić, Secretary General of the Council of Europe;
• Ms Ewelina Dobrowolska, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania.
TIME: the Press Conference will take place on 5 September from 11:15 to 11:30.
VENUE: National Museum – Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Katedros a. 4, Vilnius.
Journalists are also invited to the Treaty Signing Ceremony: Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law.
The signing ceremony will take place from 9:15 to 10:15.
Media representatives will have the opportunity to attend a 20-minute opening session.

The opening session will start at 10:15.
The Conference will also be attended by Mr Michael O'Flaherty, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe, other representatives of the Council of Europe, Ukraine, and Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Council of Europe.
