Registration of religious communities and associations

The Ministry of Justice draws up and submits conclusions to the Seimas on granting state recognition to religious communities, examines documents for founding, reorganising, restructuring and liquidating religious communities and associations as well as their branches and representative offices, confirms the authenticity of the data provided and the compliance of founding documents, programmes, and modified founding documents and data with statutory requirements, and provides conclusions to the Register of Legal Entities regarding whether their registration or deregistration is possible.
