Meeting with the German delegation focuses on issues relating to the strengthening of the notarial profession

The Minister for Justice Rita Tamašunienė met with a German delegation: Dr Helmut Martin, Minister for Justice and Consumer Protection of the Rhineland-Palatinate, Thomas Henrichs, President of the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz, Dr Thomas Steinhauer, President of the Koblenz Chamber of Notaries, and other members of the delegation.

The meeting covered topics of relevance to the legal communities of Lithuania and Germany, and provided an opportunity to share professional experience and insights on the notarial profession and developments in European law.

“In these complex geopolitical times, we particularly appreciate the solidarity shown by our German partners towards Lithuania. We also value the cooperation between Lithuanian and Koblenz notaries, which has lasted for more than three decades and has now grown into a mature and equal partnership,” said the Minister.

As Lithuania prepares to hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2027, open dialogue with German institutions and the legal community takes on even greater significance.
