Minister of Justice, Rita Tamašunienė, puts together the team of political confidence

Vice-Ministers Barbara Aliaševičienė and Kristina Zamarytė-Sakavičienė, as well as Chancellor Liucina Kotlovska are taking office as the team of political confidence of the Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė.

Vice-Minister Barbara Aliaševičienė will oversee the areas of notary services, civil registry, bailiff activities, consumer rights protection, political organisations and religious communities, and the operation of the information systems of state registers assigned to the area of management of the Minister of Justice.

Ms Aliaševičienė has worked as a lawyer at the Vilnius District Municipality and as head of the Supervision Unit of the public institution Construction Sector Development Agency under the Ministry of Environment. She holds a Master's degree in law from Mykolas Romeris University.

Vice-Minister Kristina Zamarytė-Sakavičienė will oversee issues related to the development of the national legal system and policy-making in the areas of civil law, civil procedure law, administrative litigation, mediation, and forensic examination.

Kristina Zamarytė-Sakavičienė has been as Director and board member of the Free Society Institute, has worked as Director of the Institute for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine, adviser at the Office of the Seimas, inspector of good clinical practice at the State Medicines Control Agency under the Ministry of Health, and a lecturer at the Law School of Mykolas Romeris University.

Ms Zamarytė-Sakavičienė holds a Master's degree in law from Mykolas Romeris University.

The position of the Chancellor of the Ministry of Justice will be held by Liucina Kotlovska, who has served as Director and Deputy Director of the Administration of the Vilnius District Municipality.

Ms Kotlovska holds a Bachelor's degree in sociology from Vytautas Magnus University Education Academy (formerly Vilnius Pedagogical University).
