Vaccinated third-country nationals may come to the country to marry without permission
As of 1st of June, third-country nationals can more easily come to Lithuania to marry. Foreign nationals who have been vaccinated with EU-registered vaccines in accordance with the vaccination scheme of the country where the vaccination was administered, do not need a permit from the Minister of Justice to enter Lithuania.
Persons wishing to come must bring with them a document from their personal health care institution, a country-specific vaccination certificate, or an international vaccination certificate indicating that the person's vaccination with one of the COVID-19 vaccines (COVID-19 Vaccine “Janssen”, “Comirnaty”, COVID-19 Vaccine “Moderna”, “Vaxzevria”) has been completed.
Vaccination documents must be in one of the official EU languages.
The completed questionnaire and the confirmation (QR code) must be submitted to the carrier before entering the vehicle or, in case of travelling in your own vehicle, to the specialists of National Public Health Center or other officials at the border control point or passenger checkpoint, at least 48 hours before the start of the journey.
Unvaccinated third-country nationals who wish to come to our country to marry must, as before, obtain a permit from the Minister of Justice.
