Advisers on communications, criminal justice, constitutional and administrative law join the team of political confidence of the Minister of Justice
Božena Zaborovska-Zdanovič, adviser on public relations to Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė, Milena Gečis, adviser on criminal justice, and Ramutė Ruškytė, adviser on constitutional and administrative law, took office this week.
Božena Zaborovska-Zdanovič has gained experience in public communication working in both state institutions and international organisations. She has held managerial positions in communication and marketing divisions of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Exhibition Centre Litexpo, has been an adviser on communications at the Ministry of the Interior where she contributed to the implementation of strategic communication solutions.
Ms Zaborovska-Zdanovič holds a bachelor's degree in Lithuanian philology and advertising, and Lithuanian linguistics from the Kaunas Faculty of Humanities of Vilnius University. Later she earned a master's degree in international communication.
Milena Gečis is a lawyer with more than a decade of professional experience in the public and private sectors. She holds a master's degree in law from Vilnius University. At the beginning of her career, she worked in a law firm, then held positions as a lawyer and legal adviser in state institutions, including the Ministry of the Interior, as well as in business.
Ramutė Ruškytė is a lawyer and former judge of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, former manager of legal departments at the Office of the Government and the Constitutional Court.
Ms Ruškytė graduated from the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, later taught at two universities, completed internships at the Universities of Birmingham and Oxford, The Hague Academy of International Law, took part in international legal projects together with scholars from universities of Scotland, Belgium, and Italy.
Ramutė Ruškytė has published more than 20 scholarly articles in the field of law in Lithuanian, English, Latvian and Polish, and is the co-author of a civil law textbook.
